It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood...

and I've got woefully little time to share all the loveliness with you. But here are a few teaser pics:

A view from along one of my favourite bicycle routes:

The beginnings of a sweater from this spring's knockout issue of Vogue:

And a glorious package I received earlier this week from the amazing Di of clementine's shoes:

(to find out what those goodies were... stay tuned!)

See you all in a few days!

Happy Knitting!

Back soon (again)!

A belated happy holiday weekend for everyone for whom that applies!

Just a quick note before I forget to let you know that the colourworks studio will be closed from Monday until around April 28. I'll probably have intermittent internet access, but not to worry: feel free to send emails / orders and I'll reply as soon as I return.

In the meantime, happy knitting!

the week in pictures...

I'm back! Still recovering from a busy week away, but I've also got a list of crossed-off tasks to show for it. Since I'm feeling pretty inarticulate -- more so than usual, that is -- here are some pics for a bit of flavour.

This is my friend V and her absolutely stunning patchwork shawl in Kidsilk Haze.

Some of you may recognize this Rowan pattern or have done it yourself. If so, my hat's off to you because the result is a true work of art. The camera simply does not do this beauty justice.

In between planes, trains and automobiles, there was time to squeeze in a leisurely coffee and some casual photography.

This image makes me think of The Da Vinci Code.

Cushions I simply couldn't resist (Le Bon Marche during a sale is treacherous territory, I tell you -- treacherous!):

There was also a stop at La Droguerie, which at the time was wall-to-wall people. After a modest wait, we picked up a king's ransom in craft materials, including these ribbons:

And lastly, there was more than one FO completed. Can't show them to you now, though, but you're quite welcome to inspect what the needles left in their wake.

Hope you're all well!
